Good deed no. 17

Today I mowed the lawn for my parents.
I know this made a difference because if I hadn't done it the grass would still be long and my parents thanked me.
I felt really amped because I did my good deed and I used some of my energy up.
If my sister was involved she too would have been happy because she doesn't like doing gymnastics and stuff on the lawn when it's long since she can't see her rabbits droppings.

Good deed no. 16

Today I carryed my dads stuff down from the car when he got home from work.

I know this made a difference because he thanked me.

I felt like I was going to fall over because I carryed his bag, my bag, my shoes, my scooter and my drink bottle! But I also felt like a million bucks since I had done a good deed.

If my mum was involved she too would have been happy because she would have seen that I got my exercise for the day and I did something to help my dad.

Good deed no. 15

Thursday the 10th of April 2008

Today I helped Harry, my friend, to pick his stuff up out of the entrance hall before we went to play tennis.

I know this made a difference because if I hadn't done that it would have taken longer to do it by himself than it did when I helped him and he also thanked me.

I felt good because I sped up the situation and I made my friend Harry happy.

If my other friend EJ was involved, he too would have been happy because since I sped it up he wouldn't have had to wait around and thats one of the only things he doesn't like doing.

Good deed no. 14

Wednesday the 9th of April 2008

Today I cooked dinner when my mum and my sister were at netball so they didn't have to when they got back.

I know this made a difference because my mother thanked me.

This made me feel ecstatic as I did it right for once.

If my dad was involved he too would have been happy because if I hadn't done it the food would have been ready much later and he would have been hungry for a while.

Tuesday the 8th of April 2008

Today I did the washing for my mum.

I know this made a difference because she had time to do her own thing unlike usual.

I felt really elated as I had done something good for my mum.

If my dad was involved, he too would have been happy because he wouldn't have had to help my mum fold the washing anymore.

Good deed no. 12

Monday the 7th of April 2008

Today I helped a man to carry some boxes to the office at our school. He was having a meeting with Mr. Gray.

I know this made a difference because the man said that nothing like that has ever happened to him before and he thanked me.

I felt really elated because I didn't make my good deed a chore.

If Mr Gray was involved he too would have been happy as the man got a good first impression.

Good deed no. 11

Sunday the 6th of April 2007

Today I washed my mothers car for her.

I know this made a difference because she was extremely happy that her car turned from grey back to black after I washed it.
It made me feel good as I don't wash cars that often, and I made my mother happy.

If my dad was involved he to would have been happy as he always likes a clean, shiny car.

Sunday the 5th of April 2008

Today I helped my father install our new hand basin into our bathroom.
I know this made a difference because he said if I hadn't helped it would have taken much, much longer, after that he thanked me.

I felt happy as I had done my good deed and because I got a bit of a work out with carrying heavy objects.

My mum was involved and she too was happy because she wants us to start the renovation of the kitchen, so the faster we work the sooner we can start.

Today when I was playing cricket in the nets with Harry. Harry smashed the ball down into the the field on one of Patricks balls and Patrick said he was tired and didn't want to fetch it so I offered to get it for him.

I know this made a difference because he thanked me.

I felt good because I'd got the ball so I could bowl and I made him happy.

If someone else was involved they to would have been happy because I would have offered to give the ball to him and I would just have gotten another ball out of the bag.

Good deed no.8

Today I made chocolate sauce out of Moro bars and cream for my family as a treat.

I know this made a difference because it raised everyones spirits and they thought it was done well.

If my sister was involved and not at ballet she would have been happy as I would have let her lick out the sause pan where I melted the Moro bars, mmmmmmmmm chocolate!!

Good deed no.7

Wednesday the 2nd of April 2008
Today I did the washing and folded it so my mum wouldn't have to.
I know this made a difference because if I hadn't, my sister would have been late to netball as my mother would have had to do it before they could leave.
This made me feel like I'd achieved something for once, it felt really good!
My dad was involved as well as he thanked me when he found out what I had done, so in the end, I helped the whole family.

Today I baked delicious chocolate chip biscuits.

I know this made a difference because as soon as my family smelled them they were in better moods let alone when they tasted them!
It felt good because now I know I don't suck at baking and I made a difference to my family's lives...for today!
If my neighbors were involved they have been extremely elated if they had got some of the cookies but sadly I didn't have enough ingredients.

Good deed no.5

Monday the 31st of March 2008

Today I swept washed sand into the gaps in the paving on our driveway.
I know this made a difference because if I hadn't done it someone else would have had to do it. Also, my mum thanked me for doing it afterwards.
I felt satisfied as I had covered a big amount of paving in a short amount of time. Also, I did this instead of watching T.V. so I got a nice amount of exercize in the process.
If the rest of my family was involved they too would have been happy because they also use the driveway. So me spending some of my time on it to fix it helped quite a fair amount in the end.

Today I made German Bites for lunch so my mum and dad could read the news paper and have a rest.
I know this made a difference because they thanked me afterwards and my mum said she really hadn't felt like doing it before I offered.

It felt good as I love to cook and my mother always does everything so giving her a brake sounded like a wonderful idea.
If my sister was involved and not at ballet, she would also have thanked me because she loves German Bites.

Saturday the 29th of March

Today when our family was at Mission Bay my sister and I were walking past a dairy when a lady dropped 10 cents on her way out so picked it up and gave it to her.
I know this made a difference because if I hadn't done it the lady wouldn't have thanked me and she would have been 10c poorer than she was before she lost the money.
I felt good because I helped someone that I didn't know this time unlike the last 2 times.
If someone else was involved they might not have given the lady the money and she would never have known.

Today I mowed the lawn without getting pocket money.
I know I made a difference because my mother kept 5 dollars that she would have had to pay me and she thanked me for doing it without a wage afterwards.
I felt satisfied that I had helped her even though before I did it I wasn't looking forward to mowing the lawn without the payment.

Good Citizens

A good citizen is a person who abides by rules.
A person who respects other people and their property.
A person who helps others.
A person who cooperates well with others.
A person who listens to the person who is talking. A person who is considerate.
A person who is understanding and a person who encourages others.

I'm a good citizen because I use mine and other peoples knowledge to make the task the best it could be.
I'm very friendly and obey the rules. I do what people ask.
I be myself constantly.
I respect everyone and the belongings. I am loving and considerate.
